Most meditation centers or spaces have an altar--a physical structure visible to everyone in the room. The altar serves as a collective focal point for practice and also as a symbolic representation of why we practice.
On this retreat we'll be co-designing our the practice altar, and ask that each of you bring one object that represents the deeper aspiration or purpose for your practice. This could be a picture, statue, an object from nature, or anything else that signifies why you're currently drawn to practice.
On the 1st evening, as part of the opening of the retreat, we will co-design the retreat altar.
